Proper Candle Burning
Correct Candle Care While Burning Ensures Greater Safety And Satisfaction!

NEVER leave a lighted candle unattended.

Candles have a *melt memory* which is why it is important to allow your candle to burn for at least 1 hour per inch of diameter of the candle container, particularly the first time you light the candle.

3 to 4 hours for a 16 oz. apothecary jar and 2 to 3 hours for a pint size canning jar candle is average. This allows the wax to melt across the entire top of the candle reducing *tunneling* and incomplete burning.

Be sure to keep wicks trimmed to about 1/4 inch, less if your candle *smokes*. Sometimes carbon buildup can create a *mushroom* on the wick, particularly in heavily scented candles. If this occurs simply extinquish the flame, let it cool for a moment and snip it off before relighting!

Best of all...ENJOY!
